Dollhouse

You know what I've learned from Dollhouse?

No one can do their job.

Seriously. Those who watch it. Think about it. Especially in light of Friday's episode (1x11), no one can do their job. Their security detail sucks. And that's for like all the episodes, so it's not a spoiler.

Totally. When you know where they are, it's so easy to enter and hack the whole business. Although, they are pretty good at hiding everything, I liked that bit when all infos on Mellie disappeared from the cop's computer.

i thought that's the idea behind alpha - he's able to manipulate everything (including the ex-fbi guy's actions) to get what he wants.

but yeah. for what they are, the dollhouse has kinda lax security.

One perspective is that their security really sucks. The other is noting that isolating security breaches is the best source of producing dolls, knowing that base abilities and experiences have some bearing on utility as a doll (e.g. they know that for all their so called tabula rasa efforts, glitching will occur and often produces their best field results, before they become psychopaths). Rather than preventing security breaches before they occur, their process of systematically ostracizing and controlling their potential enemies, then enslaving them is probably a better covert system than, say, planting gun turrets and sniper towers around a high rise in downtown LA. The way I see it is that the moment where the records were wiped before their eyes was biggest security breach of all. If they'd have wiped the Millie records prior to that, his last FBI contact would have lost her patience by now. And yeah, the other comment about Alpha being programmed to be able to do that kind of shit does factor in. Plus, Joss and secret ( ... )
