Oh yes.  Running around madly trying to pack.  In fact, I never did finish packing for *con.  The girls finished packing me. :P  I finished the Jedi tabards sans the bottome hems (would NOT go through the machine) and was going to see if anyone at the hotel was any good at hand sewing.  Cause I blow at it.  Turns out the other pieces of the costume

I agree; I was fine with the elevators. Didn't have any more bother with them than at the Marriott, in my opinion.
