Fangirl squeeage and spazzing and there use to be fic (gah, I've really fallen out of active involvement!) Real life mentions are friends locked. I don't bite, so don't be afraid to friend me.
I am not on LJ nearly as much as I used to be, but my resolution for 2014 is to try and get back to fandom at least enough to do a small bit to preserve big, thoughtful (cracky thoughts included :-), expansive fanfiction. I really enjoy your comments and lists, would you mind if I friend you?
My daughter has gotten our family into Tumblr, but I am finding that it just doesn't have the ability to support fiction at more than the most basic one-shot level. Over the years, I have watched as Star Trek, Buffy, Dr. Who, etc., have lost their "core" places where fiction-writing and -loving fans could find each other; I am hoping so much that SPN doesn't lose the communities and posters at LJ.
Anyway, after writing you a dissertation... It seems as if you are also trying (in our small, not enough time in the day ways) to keep SPN fiction vibrant and pass along the stories from earlier years to new fans. I think it will be fun to try, and if all else fails, my Kindle will be stocked for *years* of carpool mom reading. :-) Cheers!

Hello! And yes, please friend me. I'm so glad that you've found my rec lists useful. It's exactly as you've said, I just want to do my small part in helping new (and renewed) fans discover some truly remarkable pieces and navigate through all the stories that have cropped up through the seasons, because it can be so daunting. Happy reading!
