OMG I am really going to do it!
I was contacted by my publisher. Originally they had signed me on as a "writer" to contribute to a compilation volume they are putting out. Well, after talking with the editor about what I was working on, they have now signed me as an "author" and are going to publish Lady of the Two Lands as a stand alone novel! I am SOO excited! I just signed my "Writer" contract with Kellan to publish Lady of the Two Lands! And this publisher will be expanding into Fantasy so there is a possibility Imperium may be next!! -

Bday party was a blast! However, as I just tried to get a glass of water and pushed down the handle and then watched it run down the fridge because I hadn't actually put the glass UNDER IT first and was curious why my feet were getting wet- I think it's bed time. -
Adamantine Palace
I just finished reading the Adamantine Palace (first of 3) by Stephen Deas. It was a REALLY good book! A chapter is one POV but you really get to know the characters. It's very impressive. Once I am done reading for sheer enjoyment I am going to read again for technique to see if I can pick up any tips. Like, for example, he had this one little ( Read more... ) -

It was really odd with Kiwi. She spent hours yesterday looking like she wanted to lay an egg. She was still that way when I was ready to put her to bed, and with nothing I could do for her, I just put her in her night cage. Got up this morning and no egg. I KNEW Kiwi was acting like it was mating season. She laid an egg sometime in the last few hours. I was just cleaning her cage to take it outside for a good spray down and there it was. SO excited!! I went to pharmacy today and they have the IR back in!! I can start it again tomorrow. Of course, the question will be can they get it in again next month (although all the report say the shortage is 'fixed' now) but, hey, I will take this month!
