this is one of my finals for class. This is based on a song and my own calling. it's not perfect but I am still pretty happy with it.

I worked on my two main paintings a bit tonight. I used an exacto and cut lines to try to get texture for the tree the Jaquar is laying on, I did a wet on wet sponge paint backround with 4 colors and whited out some of the body to keep from getting any bleeding. So today's class was painting. umm shouldn't one paint in a painting class. Yep you got it. I didn't paint at all today in class. we did some experimental stretching of paper. found out it's more of a pain then it is worth. then one of my co students handed me a picture of a jaguar in a tree and asked me if I wanted to paint it. well I worked in the snowleopard today. it has spots not very dark aka black like the picture but I have a base it should be easy to darken. I also worked onthe falcon ( Read more... )

well I finally put in the base coat for the rocks it is sitting on. and boy am I glad I did. I thought the basecoat of the coat was too light once I added the dark on the bottom up can see the undercoat just fine.

I still have to figure out the nose.
