Wahh Hooo! Playstation 3 is out today! Funny to see all the numbskulls line up at the stores only to find out that there will not be enough of them to go around.  However, I do not see myself buying one for quite some time considering the history of the PS2.  The design looks fab, and I think that a lot can go wrong with as many features as this ( Read more... )

Almost made me want to buy one because I could download all previous Nintendo Games, including Nintendo 64 and play them online with other members.
That is pretty sweet, I didn't know that was an option! You're right, we don't have that kind of income right now but that would be cool if we could set it up in the relatively near future.

Plus in order to have backward compatibility, you need to download upgrades for each individual game for the old XBOX.
I'm a bit amazed by that, it's obvious that backwards compatibility is the way to go now. The irony of Nintendo consoles not always being that way is that Gameboy was the first video game platform to make that a regular feature! That is the theory. And since Goldeneye was Nintendo 64's bigest financial and popular hit, they may make that possible. Also, I have heard the the old nintendo 8 bit and 16 bit will have download cabability, but not over the net. We'll see a time goes on..... But think of the possibilities. Perhaps a tub of ice and one missing kidney wouldn't be all bad......
