Here's the deal. I got this White Speedylock 1600 serger about three years ago from Joann Fabrics for around $350. It now retails for less. I used it constantly the first six months, then went to work full time. It sat around, ignored, for almost two years. When I recently cut back to part time work I tried to get back into sewing but I'm having trouble getting this machine to give me a consistent stitch. For all I know it just needs a tune up, but I'm thinking it is in need of more servicing than that.
My husband, a really handy guy, has gotten me going with it several times, but then the stitch starts giving me fits again. Because he's so sweet he let me go to a dealer and buy a new Huskylock 901 which comes with new owner lessons.
So, here are the facts -
This may or may not need professional servicing.
This may or may not be in need of serious repair.
This may or may not just need a tune-up.
This may or may not just be good for parts.
I make no guarantee as to the usability of this machine. I don't think we have the original box any longer so I can't say how much it will cost to pack/ship.
Please consider these things VERY SERIOUSLY before making ANY offer on this machine.
