I utterly adore your writing.
Lauren's got me hooked.
But I'm much stupider than her, so I'm asking what happened at the end.
-Looks down-
I'll re-read it.
-Looks back up with a grin-
Lawl.
I saw you on saturday.
You were crossing from town hall.
& there were those chinese people in the street parade.
& they scared me.
But yeah,
My point is that I saw you.
& now I'm swaying away from the point that I'm meant to be making about this story which is that it's awesome.
But, I'm gonna go now.
Before I make a fool of myself even more.
-smiles-
Bye, x.

The ending is sorta weird.
Ryan was functioning on the assumption that Brendon had accepted that he would never love him back, but he hadn't. For Brendon, losing that hope was losing the part of him that had clung to it - which was the part that cared about the world and his surroundings, his friends. In losing that hope he was able to become entirely selfish. But it sort of backfired because the way that selfishness manifested was in his desire to hurt Ryan, which in turn would hurt Brendon, and well, pretty much everyone.
The reason he said no when Mitch asked him to marry him was because he wanted to be there for Ryan, but when he did finally accept the truth he felt that there wasn't any real point to sticking around because Ryan was never going to be able to reciprocate in the way that he wanted.
In a way Ryan was actually in love with Brendon, it just wasn't romantic. He hung onto his every word, adored him, was dependant upon him, he just didn't want to have his babies.
Anyway.
Night, hun.

This is wrought with emotion. It's almost torturous. I can't wait for more.

I try. :P
Maybe I should stick to short stories :\

I certainly know how you feel about the short stories. I've been trying to write a novel for two years now and I haven't made that much headway. Short stories, flash fiction, haiku- quick pieces are what I excell at.

I can write long stories as well, but they have to be chaptered. I can't work otherwise.
Quite strange.

The connection between Ryan and Brendon was bitter and hopeless and at the same time beautiful and multidimensional. This was wonderful.

Gosh, almost makes you want to be a lesbian. But, from my experience, girls are not much better.
