Why Work Sucks

OK I have a job so maybe I should not complain. I just don't know what they want out of me. anymore. it is the same problem I have always had of I can do so many thing that they just use me until I am all used up and I don't have anymore to give. I think your biggest problem is that you have such a strong work ethic. You accept every responsibility you are requested, you take on things that are outside of what you were initially hired to do, and eventually it gets to the point that you have rewritten your job so much, that people don't know where to stick you anymore. If you keep picking up all the odds & ends around the servers, pretty soon, that's all you will be doing.

I think it might be time to have a talk with your manager about your job responsibilities - what, exactly, your job description includes, and how you can both work together to ensure that you as an employee are not being taken advantage of, and what direction you want to go in professionally.
