Mini-Sleepover (RP)

May 03, 2011 00:20

He picked up some of the tossed papers and books, and sorted them neatly on piles. He opened up his closet and pulled out the extra blankets and pillows.

Kiku and possibly Roderich were coming over, after all. Maybe some snacks would be good?

Kiku, with no place to go, decided to stay over Yao's place that night because as much as he rather sleep in the hallway, the intruders were out and running about. He could not risk his safety over his pride.

Sighing as he walked towards Yao's room, he emotionally began toprepared himself, chanting mantras to calm his being.

God knows how long he had even shared a room, much less a bed, with Yao and he wasn't even sure how to handle it this time now that they have grown up in their separated ways.

Arriving finally at Yao's dorm room, he could not help but gulp nervously before raising his hand to knock on the door lightly.

"Yao-san?" He called out.

He opened the door, the door chain catching.

"Kiku you came over aru!" he smiled as he unhooked the chain. "Come in, I put out extra blankets and pillows if you want aru!"

"Thank you, Yao-san." Kiku said, stepping in. "I really do appreciate what you have done for me, giving me a place to stay when I have nowhere to go at the moment."

"Well I thought you had a roommate...but you're more than welcome to come here whenever you like aru!" he smiled as he poured tea.

"I like having a cup of chamomile tea before bed aru" he said as he offered one.

"Thank you." Kiku mumbled as he accepted the offered tea, gathering it in his hands. "And I do have a roommate, Yao-san. We..."

He went silent for a moment in his hesitation but continued. "Alfred-san and I just had a disagreement earlier that's all so I had to leave. I believe he hates me now."

"But you're both nice! I'm sure it was just a disagreement aru!" he said as he patted Kiku's back.

Suddenly his voice dropped to an icy whisper - "But if he hurts you, I will hurt him aru".

"It's more of the other way around, Yao-san." Kiku sighed as his gaze dropped down to his cooling tea. "I hurt him. I hurt Alfred-san. I tried apologizing but he wouldn't listen to me"

He then chuckled darkly to himself. "I wouldn't blame him for that. Who would listen to a liar anyway?"

*Knock, knock*

*Roderich arrives with a sleeping bag, pillow, his violin case containing "Maria" and a six pack of Stiegl beer.*

Thank you for hosting Yao. In the west, it's customary for the guest to bring something to the party. *Lifts the six pack, with the pillow still tucked under the arm*.

Kiku stayed quiet when Yao had went to get the door after hearing the knock. Hearing a familiar voice, he looked up at the new arrival and was surprised to see Roderich by the door.

What was he doing here?

Nevertheless, he spoke up, his politeness kicking in. "Good Evening, Roderich-san."

"I invited Roderich over because he asked if he could come aru" he said as he sat back down. "I think he has Feliks as a roommate aru?"

No doubt Feliks will appreciate my leaving the room to him and Toris almost as much as I appreciate the chance to get away from him. But let's not dwell on unpleasant matters.

Another tradition from my country is playing music together at social gatherings. If you know of anything, I brought along a shakuhachi, a traditional Japanese bamboo flute. *Reaches into his pack to pull it out* I keep it with my other instruments in my personal safe where Feliks can't get to them.

"I didn't know you had one!" he exclaimed, "Hey, I want to get my erhu out aru!" He ran into his bedroom, and returned with the instrument in his hands. He sat down and placed it on his thigh, holding the bow in place. "Let's play something aru!"

"That would be nice." Kiku remarked as he looked at the shakuhachi that Roderich was holding, setting down his tea. "I have not seen a shakuhachi in a while but I do know how to play it. May I join along?"

"Of course you can aru!" he smiled as he let Kiku sit closer.
