He looked at the text message he received: "Hey BRO wanna go out on a date? loljk I'll come over around 5 to pick u up!"
Aside from the horrible grammar, why did he call it a "date"?
He sighed as he buttoned up his shirt and waited for his brother to come knocking. Well, it couldn't be all that bad, he hadn't seen his brothers in a while.

'Jenjang, Ren...Relax. You're only nervous because you're trying to bring everyone back together. That's all. That's all it is.'
He took a deep breath, tried to smooth back his stupid curl, which didn't work, and straightened his long-sleeved t-shirt, the ends of said sleeves hanging past his thumbs. Just the way he liked them. He tugged back the right sleeve to check his watch. Five o'clock. Right on time.
He shook his sleeve back down, and raised his hand to knock, butterflies suddenly roaring to life in his stomach. Ah well...Now or never. His fist hitting the door as he knocked resounded through the hallway and startled him, but he kept his composure as he waited for the door to open.

"Are you ready then? Where are we going?" he asked. He absentmindedly played with the tip of his ponytail, twisting it around his fingers.

When their food finally arrived, he couldn't be more thrilled to find the kimchi prepared to his liking. It seemed that Yao's food was prepared rather well, too, and Ren leaned closer, studying the dish.
"Do you mind if I have a bite?" He asked, his fork already poised to steal one.
