Not much to report from the western front.  I'll be closing this journal by making all the old entries private and no longer posting new ones.  I loved this place at one time but I feel increasingly detached from it, likely because almost all the people I used to know on here I no longer 'know' in the day-to-day sense of being likely to interact

I also miss the lively days of lj, although I'm glad we're not all as dramatic as we were in college. Facebook is useful, but it doesn't seem to encourage detailed discussion like lj.

yeah, fb´s format is limiting in that way. I don´t think it can replace this site's utility. I have mixed feelings about halting posts-perhaps I'll go back on my word and start writing again once I have a bit of a break.
