*gasp* Oh no! But yeysmoochies! ♥

Uhh, best thing in my experience is to keep it short, but interesting. You're trying to grab your audience, and they're judging your story in the twenty five words or less that it takes to describe it. Don't give away crucial plot points, but don't just say, "It's a story about blah and blah, read it!" or something equally inane. Teasing is perfectly acceptable, and encouraged. Trap them into -wanting- to read the story. Rhetorical questions are overused, avoid them. Of course, by that I mean, "Will so-and-so overcome this obstacle to find such-and-such and true happiness?" Yeah, no.

Am I missing anything? Perhaps. I'll comment more if I think of anything!

What are you trying to describe?

i'm trying to write an appropriate summary for that silly Dwindling Pieces i started writing two years ago. i just finished it this evening, and i want to start posting it on fictionalley so i can feel like i've actually accomplished something, but i want a good summary both for there and harrydraco so i can get people to actually want to read my writing again. *sigh* i don't know how successful i'll be, but i wanna try.

Oh they just need to read the first part of it and they'll be hooked! Your writing is excellent, darling, so don't fret about people wanting to read it. It's the hooking them on the first one that's the trick. I have faith in you~!

wahhhh. well, i'll see what i come up with. the thing is, when i post this next/last part tomorrow, i want to put up *something* that will convince readers to go back and read the first 20 thousand words and then read the next 20 thousand. it's all very annoying.

but thank you for having faith in me! *smooches you millions and millions* ♥
