Background:
http://marvel.wikia.com/Peter_Parker_%28Earth-1610%29 Personality: Peter Parker is your average teenage boy. Well, maybe not so average. Being bitten by a genetically enhanced spider can do that to you. But in a lot of ways, Peter still goes through the same kinds of experiences that a lot of teenage boys go through. He’s gifted and intelligent, but he can be a little awkward at times, especially considering his ever-changing love-life, and the number of superpowered kids that are currently staying with him and his Aunt May. He can be incredibly hot-tempered, either for a noble reason or a selfish reason. He’s definitely had moments of insecurity. But all in all, he’s a unique kid making his way down the journey to becoming a man.
Peter is faced with a multitude of choices to make in his life: both as Spider-man and as Peter. And more often than not, a decision made as Spidey can have negative consequences on his life as Peter, and vice versa. When he isn’t wearing the mask, Peter can be a little bit nervous and socially clumsy. But as Spider-Man, Peter can be a bit more brash and sarcastic when dealing with threats that he does not care for. The mask allows him to say things that he would never say as Peter Parker.
After the death of his Uncle Ben---a death that Peter could have averted, had he stopped the murderer from robbing someone else hours beforehand---Peter has taken the mantra his Uncle and father have given him to heart: “With great power comes great responsibility.” With his superhuman abilities, Peter has vowed to help his fellow man and become a responsible man, much like his Uncle Ben before him. Though this definitely inspires him to be a better person and make more responsible decisions, this can lead to Peter often feeling ridiculous amounts of guilt and regret over something he wishes he could have done differently.
Peter genuinely cares about the people in his life. From his widowed Aunt May, who does what she can to help Peter in her own way, to his buddies, Johnny Storm, Bobby Drake, Kitty Pryde, Mary-Jane Watson, and Gwen Stacy. Having lost his Uncle Ben and several other important people to him after his transformation into Spider-Man, Peter fights hard to protect his friends and family, and is fiercely loyal to them.
Abilities: Spider-Man has a great number of abilities. For starters, he is able to stick to almost any surface, crawling walls like a spider. He also has a precognitive danger sense that he refers to as “Spider-sense,” which sends a tingling sensation through him whenever something is wrong. Combining this sense with his heightened reflexes, Spider-Man can dodge almost any attack thrown at him.
Additionally, Spider-Man also has several other heightened abilities. His enhanced strength enables him to lift up to six tons, throw powerful punches, and even leap to high heights easily. His speed and agility are unmatched by human limits. His superhuman stamina can keep him energized and less fatigued than ordinary humans, and his endurance allows him to take a great deal of powerful impacts and avoid serious injury from otherwise fatal attacks.
Finally, Spider-Man is a master of balance and equilibrium, able to instinctually adjust his position within any context and contort himself into any space. By making use of his strength, speed, agility, stamina, endurance, equilibrium, and reflexes, Spider-man has developed skill as a fierce fighter.
