As of March 25th I shall have been on this earth for forty years. From certain angles that's a significant chunk of time. Consider! I'd like to accurately reflect on whether hitting that milestone this past August changed things, but I'm sure that other things that occurred 'round that time had a bigger impact (losing a job, splitting from my longtime partner, moving, having my other longtime partner move in with me...). Every so often I think..."SHIT! I'm 40. How the hell did that happen?!?!" but mostly, I'm cool with it all.
