Okay, this does it. I've said it too many times before. I've just about had it with LJ. It is definitely time to leave. In the latest round of LJ drama two people were permanently deleted with no warning, just because they posted pictures of characters from Harry Potter in sexual situations. LJ said the characters looked underage. They did not. ( Read more... )

I first noticed it in the trip to Godric's Hollow - it was Christmas Eve and Harry saw the statue of a father, mother and baby. I know it was portrayed to be Harry and Harry's parents, but it could just as easily have been Joseph, Mary and Jesus.

Then of course, you have the sacrificial death, coming back to life, saving the wizarding world, freeing people from the fear of death. Plus Harry's birth was prophesied. I think there are extremely strong Jesus metaphors.

I'm sad to hear you'll be leaving livejournal. But happy that you'll stay through the HP readthrough. It's very easy to set up your own blog - in fact, I followed a php tutorial to make my own blog for news updates to my domain. I like the community of livejournal. I know it's awful that sixapart is targeting people - but I really do like most of the people on lj so I'll be staying - at least while all those people I like are still here. :/

Don't worry, i'm not really gone! I'll still stick around, follow my friends list, make comments. The only difference is i'll be hosting my own blog content where no Six Apart Death Eaters can harm me! :)

I have already set up my blog and enabled OpenID with it, and i feel so liberated for it!

Hello. I know i said i'd stick around, but i am honestly so sickened by this that i can't even bear to log in as sermoa right now. I'm going to have to give it a miss for a few days and see how i feel. I'll still be reading the chapter a day, and i'll follow the community's RSS feed. I'll probably even make some comments using my OpenID. But Six Apart have pissed me right off to the point of no return.
