Has anyone noticed that the ranch dressing served at restaurants/public places tastes like 1000 times better than what you buy in the store? Anyone know why?

For all the people out there who have been where I am...

Any suggestions on how to pack and what to take? This would be especially useful if you've moved from SoCal to D.C. (Tom and Christina, I'm looking at you!!)

It's finally, really happening! My mom and I have booked flights out to D.C. to find and rent an apartment and then I will be moving there in August. Dating my best friend is the best thing EVAR (as Tom would say).

American University and the Washington College of Law (AU's law school--obviously) does not have on-campus housing for graduate students. This is very frustrating.
