I don't have any.  I am trying to be patient and just let things happen and it isn't happening fast enough for me.  What am I talking about you might ask.  Well if you don't know I am trying to move back to NM.  At least this time I'm not going back to the middle of nowhere.  I like the people and such but I would just get really bored really fast

I feel your pain, I'm in management for the Base Exchange. If you are 'mobile' meaning up for wherever/whenever they want to send you, they'll transfer you to other facilities and pay for the move if its for a 3C job and above. Anything below that and your paying for yourself. If you happen to be moving and are trying to get a job at the base your moving too prior to leaving? You have to quit your job before you can apply, and there is no guarantee that they'll accept you even if they have open positions. People who have been managers had to quit. Move to the new base.. Start over in non-management/non-supervisory, and not even full time positions, and slowly work their way all the way back up again.

Just about sounds like Wal-Mart these days, I got a hold of a brand new store opening in Alb last week and they are doing there hiring for Merchandise Supervisors this week so hopefully I will hear. Thing is they drilled me on why i wanted to transfer which in my opinion is bull shit and I should have the same chance as anyone else who wants to transfer regardless of why. I did play up the being closer to my family card cause my dad might be having some probs. So we'll see. I just think that with almost 9 years with the company that it should play into it somehow. It only seems fair but it wouldn't be the first time they have skipped over fair. Oh well I'm hoping to hear something this week or early next. Back in the day they would make a full time position for a transfer now all I hear is about how everyone is only hiring part timers. Man you know the economy sucks when you can't even get a full time overnight position cause they are all full.
