What are the greatest displays of idiocy you have ever encountered? C'mon folks, entertain me.

I'm in Cornwall. This place has stupidity like Los Angeles has air pollution and Saskatchewan has flatland ( ... )

Theres a girl at my work who had to test some Atomic stroblights and asked why they were called Atomics. The head said because they're bright, like an atomic flash. Thats when we found out she didn't know what an atomic bomb was. No. Idea. The stupider thing is that somehow she's gotten the job of assistant head of another department and is ballsing it up real good. Then there is her cousin who is 6 months pregnant and plans to stop partying (read: Binge Drinking) once Carabana is over. And there was the time in my college english class when a student was asked what was wrong with a sentence he'd written on the board and he said (phonettically so you get this) Replace read (reed) with read (red). A sad day for us all.

Haha Janet, as a medic I see countless amounts of idiocy each day I work.

Well Janet,

Some of the calls that I go to ("Traffic/Transp. Collision" is a good example) in which the MVC is caused by an Impaired Driver. Well to me that's a stupid thing.

Of course different type of calls can be a direct result of idiocy as well:
* Abdo pain (non traumatic): Ingestion of substances intentionally, non-suicide attempt.
* Assault/Sexual Assault: I think that assaults and sex assaults are perpetrated by idiots.
* Back Pn (non traumatic): Those who choose to be macho and lift way more than they should without using proper lifting techniques.
* Electrocution/Electrical Injury: Sometimes caused by idiocy.
* GSW/Stabbing/Penetrating Inj: Once again, these are perpetrated by idiots.
* Psych/Abn Behav/Suicide: Most of the time these calls are normal emergency calls. However, those who call to attention-seek only (and are really in no distress), well that abuse of the Emergency System is idiocy.
* Traumatic Inj: We all know people do stupid things sometimes.

Just to name a few :)
