I had fun this weekend at the Atlanta event. I played a different character each night, which cost me a bit I think for my own PC, but it was a little fun getting to cause plot

Different folks got different things out of the weekend. I've never been to an event where everything went 'just so'. Personally, I had a blast, both on the playing and narration side. And it was good seein' you again :) Next time, you'll need to come to the drinkin' after party.
Oh, I did think you did a fantastic job. IC I was totally freaked out because it looked like Cock Robin was staring at me the whole time. I was really amused OOC about how I kept getting herded back into the room. IC, it was pretty much the last place I wanted to be. It was still fun, just a little slower than other parts of the event for me.
I ran a Justicar and her entourage for like 3-4 events last year. It's stressful and the response from players largely is determined from whether or not the players understand that they're dealing with one of the irrational arrogant petty overlords of vampire society face to face, and if they can further comprehend that a good IC dicking is appreciable only from the viewpoint of story. It's rarely pretty IC - especially if it's Nosferatu. (:
I suppose it's partly the complaints about the Auction, and the sum of money and all. I thought it was a good way to show elder games, but the amount got crazy.
That and I heard a few complain about "NPC Theater".
So... yeah. I feel confident in my characterization abilities, but that's not what I feel bad about.
