Thank you :) - I'm glad you think so - this wasn't actually the original music, I was initially going to use something else (which I won't disclose, because I'll probably use it in something else at a later date), but I decided that this fit better. It was surprisingly difficult to work with, though!

This sort of reminded me of Big Bird and Snuffleupagus, what with Snuffy always just leaving the room before someone comes in. I hear that now, everyone on Sesame Street can see Snuffy and that makes me sort of sad.

Some of the timing seemed off, a couple of the elephant bits flashed on the screen too quickly.

I was thinking at the end of this about whether the elephant is real and the oops really happened, or if this is what the boy is imagining. It could go either way.

I think the videos are much better than just the static photo; a static photo with one line of text doesn't really give anybody much to go on, but the video is much more interesting and gives us a lot more to engage with.

I am woefully unfamiliar with Sesame Street, but, yes, it is like that :)

Actually, whilst this is my favourite story of all the entries I have submitted so far, this is the one where I think the editing is the most problematic. I found the music harder to work with than I was anticipating - You are right - there are a number of frames that I don't think quite fit with the music. To put it in perspective, however, the original piece that inspired the work I'm doing for idol ("Children of the Birds") took several weeks and several versions until it was completed. Because of the time frame of idol, that process has been compacted a bit - there are a number of pieces that I may well develop further later in the game, when I've had more practice.

I was thinking at the end of this about whether the elephant is real and the oops really happened, or if this is what the boy is imagining. It could go either way.

It could, yes. ;)

Have you considered maybe presenting the videos as photoessays for the purpose of your Idol entries? I still feel like the one photo by itself really wasn't enough to feel like a coherent entry, but a series of pictures with a series of words definitely is. That might also help with editing and pacing and let people read them at their own pace. It's obvious that doing these videos takes a long time, and I'm sure you're spending a lot more time on your entries than people who are just writing, so doing photos in addition might just be overkill, but it might be a good way to present some of these stories.
