I like the rhythm and how you can almost hear fingers snap at points. Reminded me of Gwendolyn Brooks.

Oddly enough, this reminded me a bit of a passage in the beginning of "Good Omens" by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. I love the first rule of monster, it seems to be very smart indeed.
