Congrats! What sort of direction do you plan to take it?
I still have the original books on my shelf upstairs but may invest in the new ones soon...

Follow our Twitter, Facebook, & blog updates for more info on that as soon as it's available. :)

If your originals are still in good nick, and you have all 6 of them, you probably don't need the new edition. If not, it's useful to have all 7 character classes in one place, etc., so I would recommend it. It does also tweak game balance very slightly so the classes are far more evenly balanced.

Either way, you'll get most bang for your buck in terms of new material if you pick up Friends and Foes, which is all-new material; the adventure Fury on the Deep, again brand new; and maybe In From The Cold (classic 80s White Dwarf material by Dave Morris, re-statted for DW) and The Prince of Darkness (still mostly like the original adventure, but with a lot more depth and background).

Do you need playtester groups? If so we're interested.

Almost certainly, yes. Do you guys already play DW? Probably this year we'll only be looking for reasonably experienced DW playtest groups, but next year we may have some non-DW lines starting up.

Sorry - I'd never heard of the game until Jon started talking about it on his LJ a while back. I've never seen it in a game store either.

So if you are looking for a group that is coming to DW completely fresh with no preconceptions we're your chaps (and chapesses), but if you are looking for a group familiar with the line we don't fit the bill.

Yeah, for the moment at least, since our first releases will be expansions or adventures for the core game, we probably need existing fans. As I say, though, we'll probably have at least one new game that needs playtesters next year sometime.
