mejoff has been doing one of these on his LJ, and I love it -- sort of somewhere between a very geeky 20 questions and freeform roleplaying game. So, here's mine (his is still ongoing, though, and I can certainly recommend adding to the discussion there too).

3, 8 and 11 are stuck for 8 hours in a boring airport. What is the reason that brought each of them there, and how do they spend the time?

3 is visiting Earth to see what the rest of the humans are like. She hates most of them, and particularly despises the hassle they have to go through just to catch a simple shuttle from one part of their stupid planet to another. She strips and cleans her weaponry till the local security take exception to that process, ends up in a firefight, doing her best not to kill any of them till they really piss her off, steals a plane, gets off-planet as soon as she can, and vows never to come here again

The rest of the humans? Hmmm, is 3 Aeryn Sun? The attitude is right, but the hint at teleportation would seem to say no.

Bingo! Yeah, 3 is Aeryn. No hint of teleportation intended -- she's just not used to having to wait 8h to even get on the damn shuttle. And yes "rest of the humans" = "rest of the humans other than John."

This is some kind of doom-laden symphonic metal band with neofolk elements. 2 sings songs of loss, redemption, sin, revenge, and the nature of evil, as well as African tribal songs, sea shanties, and psalms, when he remembers that theoretically he really should only be singing religious songs. 8 was originally recruited as drummer, on the grounds that really anyone can do that, but it turns out that 8 can't, so he ends up in the Bez role in the band instead. 15 is quite versatile, acting as lead vocalist on some tracks in which he sings the gloomy hymns he knows, but more often playing on a flute made from human bone, or on a variety of instruments that are intended to sound like humans in pain.

1 and 9 are having a party. What is the occasion? What is the theme? What happens when 5 and 11 show up uninvited?

1 and 9 are having a party to celebrate worldwide peace. This peace was brought about when 1 took over the world. 9 had no personal ambition to either take over the world or oppose it, since the takeover seemed relatively peaceable, and since 1 promises he will be a benign dictator. 9 is willing to see how it goes, knowing that a quiet life is preferable, and that if need be he can take up arms against 1 and probably win. It's a mutually acceptable arrangement for 1 and 9; if the party is a joing one, they both get some prestige out of it

Now I am not usually the nosey type but 10 just stormed into my local, ordered a double something-or other, and then started ranting, rather loudly, about some scheme that they'd discovered 5 had been hatching. What was 5's scheme. Why did it annoy 10 so much? And what on earth was 10 drinking?

10 stormed in and ordered a double rum. Apparently 5 had done some kind of shapeshifting illusion that made her look like an old flame of 10's, so as to convince an old friend & rival of 10's that the old flame was really a goddess in human form and wanted to return humanity to the worship of some very old and unpleasant gods. As far as 10 is concerned, there's only room for one goddess in human form in his life.

1 isn't actually driving his nondescript five-year-old Ford Focus, but has a contraption rigged up to resemble a perfectly average human motorist
