Recently I've started wondering whether people have checklists when it comes to choosing a partner. When you meet a new person, do you go

"Right Age? Check. Good Job? Check. Face doesn't induce disgust? Check. Speaks Intelligently? Nah! Sorry, out of the game! Next please!"Or would this thing called "Chemistry" just creeps up and whacks ( Read more... )

potential : chemistry present -> attracted, then subconsciously run thru checklist.

when done the other way round, i.e checklist then litmus test for chemisty = highly unlikely potential.

The 'ideal' love engagement does not require a checklist for validation.

Only for me, that is :)

Hmmm... but what's chemistry? Very tough to define. I'm an anal-logic person, so "chemistry" baffles me. ;P I guess its probably like what they say, you'll know it when its there. Sigh.

To me, chemistry (even with frens)is being happie with that someone, looking forward to meeting/updating/being updated on wat's going-on in that person's life. To share your most candid views, and yet agree to disagree. A partner would stand out, when he/she makes you think, laugh & even miss during bouts of the day, w/o even trying. A person you wanna grow with & better yourself for. A person you hv endless conversations with, and pleasant moments of silence in understood enknowledgement.
