As some of you may know, ever since octopus_garden and I moved into Beige Acres back in aught-six, we've been without a washer or dryer. This is because until very recently (less than a month ago, in fact) we were hooked up to extremely crappy well water that was either clear, colorless, and full of hydrogen sulfide-- or orange, cloudy, and sulfur-free by turns

And I watched a guy strip down to his filthy tighty whitirs to wash his clothes.
The stink was unbearable.
Laundromats are something else.

I have also used the hip-wallop to free trapped vending-goods. Successfully. Of course, I probably have much more to work with than CoatHanger Attendant, hip-wise.

Come on, be fair, that's FIVE quarters they'd have lost! Five!! That's like, all the fingers on one hand, or all the toes on one foot! To these poor folks that might be as high as they can count, so it's a big number! Have pity, woman, for shame...

Not to mention the fact that someone other than a vendor-employed representative opening a vending machine is, I believe, illegal.

You know, my washer is dead at the moment and my husband and my youngest daughter have been going to the laundromat. They never have stories like this. I'm jealous!
