Okay! Almost a month after the fact, here are my 2016 VividCon vid recs!

...:D? (I've been busy/exhausted, okay?)

Dangerous, Captain America movies - I've always been kind of skeeved by this song, but this vid redeemed it for me. That last "I bet you didn't know someone could love you this much.": HNNNG. *knucklebite*

Raspberry Swirl, Outlander - Great musicality in this vid, with lots of clip and editing choices that are very effective at visualizing the music. (Also: get it, Claire.)

Hallo Spaceboy, Captain America movies - ...it's just a REALLY GOOD VID, okay?

Play Hard, Killjoys - DUTCH ♥

Hey, No Pressure, Jessica Jones - "Hey, no pressure." - Kilgrave *SHUDDER*

You Are a Runner and I Am My Father's Son, Harry Potter movies - I'm not a Draco fan, but this vid is very good at showing why he does, actually, merit compassion. The poor hereditarily-effed-up bastard.

Aphrodisiac, Star Wars - I am only acquainted with The Star Wars via fannish osmosis, and I've never really come across anything to make me regret that--until now. This vid makes me want to watch the movies so I can understand the vid better. I can read it okay on a surface level--and it's plenty enjoyable on the surface--but I can TELL that there's SO MUCH MORE going on.

Guts, Agent Carter - The Agent Carter vid I'd been waiting for: Dottie and Whitney and their struggle for self-actualization within repressive and dominating power structures vs Peggy's successful (?) self-actualization, which--whoops--turned out to become HYDRA-infiltrated SHIELD. *rereads* Okay, that sentence was terrible, but there's too much in this vid to be precis-ed, so just go watch and love. *shoos*

To the Grave, The Body Snatcher - This cheeky little vid takes full advantage of both its song choice and the movie's subject matter. Delightful. :)

Spirits, Gotham - I haven't watched Gotham since s1, so I can't comment on how the show has treated Wee!Bruce since then. But I think this vid has something to say about how his response to the "gun in [his] head" differs from that of allllllllllllllllllll of Gotham's Bad Guys to the "guns in [their] heads".

Byzantium, Man from UNCLE - Another fandom I'm not in, but this vid is just FUN. :)
