The hospital has a pet visitation program.  You have to get your vet to certify that they're okay, and you have to fill out some paperwork promising you'll clean up their messes yourself, but basically you can bring your pets in to see your hospitalized loved ones.  So Saturday morning I took the dogs to the vet, got the requisite paperwork filled

That is so exceptionally awesome! I know how much Jen was missing the kids so that is terrific they were able to come on down. I don't suppose they can stay for long or overnight with Jen, but even so, kid-love is the some of the best medicine around!

What a truly brilliant program! I love it! What better way to help people be less stressed and recover, or rest as best as possible, than to have reasonable pet love from home as visitors!
