Question for iPod owners

Jul 22, 2008 15:18

Is there an easy (and free) way to put .avi, .mpeg, etc on an iPod? So far I've found that iTunes can't do it. And I've also found a few programs that will convert a video file to something that's iPod-compatible, but they all cost money...

So yeah, any suggestions are welcome. Thanks! :)

Thanks for the suggestion. The site doesn't seem to know whether super is compatible with Vista though... I tried Karrie's suggestion, but that thing is being a bit fussy. Let's hope I can get it to work properly tonight.

In case the aforementioned doesn't work I use videora. Which is free although I found it only wants to convert avi files if I have them open in media player at the same time. Odd that...

I can get it to convert just fine, but things get a bit fussy when videora tries to import the converted file into iTunes... will have to fiddle with it some more tonight.

I was gonna recommend Super but I see Laura beat me to it.

Thanks anyway. I had to go with what Karrie had suggested - videora - since Super doesn't look like it's compatible with Vista.
