Ugh, I was inadvertently dragged into watching hockey by a summer spent in Minnesota, but this is actually the worst time ever to become a fan.............

It's actually pretty exciting -- I check every morning for updates on the lockout! *g* Plus at least this way I'm not agonizing daily over how badly my team is sucking, which is basically what happens with EVERY SINGLE OTHER TEAM I HAVE LOVED, EVER, except for the Showtime Lakers, because they happened fifteen years before I started following them.

Maybe this doesn't bode well for the Blackhawks.

NOW THERE ARE GAMES. And also, surprisingly, a bunch of hockey fans around me -- thus far I have inveigled four people into watching the Hawks/Kings game on 1/19 with me (online, cough)!

I think I will just have to go with the philosophy that IT DOESN'T MATTER THAT YOU SUCK IF YOU'RE IN LOVE. Or something like that.
