haha, WOW. Someone sure is an ardent hater of Sesshy/Rin.

I think it's silly - fandom is all about exploring new possibilities that canon has not explored. Do I think Sesshoumaru had romantic feelings for eight-year-old Rin? No, of course not. Do I think it's possible he might develop romantic feelings towards her when she's an adult? I definitely do. And at that point their age difference wouldn't matter at all, since he's a demon and aging works differently for him. I mean, technically Inuyasha is hundreds of years older than Kagome, right? But that's our key relationship.

" I mean, technically Inuyasha is hundreds of years older than Kagome, right?"

That's already been addressed.

"Q: But what about Inuyasha/Kagome and Inuyasha's parents?
A: You forget that demon aging is different from human aging, which is weird since that's something brought often when discussing Sess/Rin (that he'd still be 19 by the time she's grown). Like a seven year old dog is ancient and very old while a 7 year old human is still a child, Inuyasha is still a teenager, and so is Kagome. Inuyasha's parents were both adults.
Also, did Inuyasha RAISE Kagome? Did his father meet his mother as a child and form a paternal relationship (like the one Sesshomaru has with Rin) first, and then take advantage of it? No."

Meh. I think parental influence can turn into something more. Hell, my mother married a man 10 years younger than her, a man whom she had a hand in raising. Nothing's weird between them. She didn't take advantage of him; they only got together when he was 28.

So long as the romantic relationship occurs after the person is of age, I don't see anything wrong about it. Especially since Sesshoumaru has essentially taken his leave of Rin and given her the opportunity to grow into her own person without his influence.

In any case, as I stated in my previous comment, fandom is very much about fantasy. Whether or not a relationship is realistic is not really the point.

Already adressed; he didn't cut off all ties with her and is still involved in raising her at the end.
