or in this case just the highlights:

Went to the gym today.

~~ My personal trainer  is very nice.
~~I am woefully out of shape
~~30 minutes on the eliptical and ouch OUCH
~~I have a tenative 6 day a week schedule -- weight+ cardio on odd days, cardio only on even days
~~this doesn't start until NEXT Wednesday as I caused a near panic attack when my ( Read more... )

I'm interested. :) My heart rate gets way up sometimes too. I normally have pretty low BP and I have no lung capacity, I never have. Stupid narrow ribcage. I just slow down on the elliptical when it gets too bad.

Wow low bloodpressure and increased heart rate -- yes sounds like a breathing issue.

Mine is because I've been fairly sedentary for 6 years. I wasn't before -- I was dawn-to-dusk active active active prior to moving out here.....

....not that I regret that decision at all ! I just regret how I took my health for granted.

I'm impressed that you were able to do 30 minutes your first time out on the elliptical. That seriously kicks my butt!! LOL

I really was surprised it went that well. I'm not even sore this morning.

Then again we were aiming for my heart rate to be between 120 and 140 (and it wasn't cooperating) so I wasn't going fast.

That's what I will be doing until next Wednesday --- nothing but cardio.

We are gonna be some buff wenches come August ;)
