so ive been listening to 'at war with the mystics' and i feel as though its one of the flaming lips best albums as a whole. other than the second track which im not toooooo terribly fond of, its really great. this one and the soft bulletin are my favorite i think. yoshimi is pretty good, but i guess its not really my cup of tea, i hate how there

you have a point about yoshimi. A lot of cds are like that, where you're just waiting for the "hit" songs and ignoring the others. although I'd have to say soft bulletin is my favorite, I haven't got a chance to really listen to at war with the mystics all the way through though.

PS-have you heard the new thom yorke album, "The Eraser"? if so, what do you think of it?

You weren't asking me but I'm gonna answer. I think The Eraser is pretty good, there isn't a single song on it I don't like. But I can't help but feel like it's just an appetizer until a new Radiohead album comes out. His voice sounds really good on this one though, it's really smooth and soft sounding, it's nice.

I like it too, I just feel like he didnt try very hard. A lot of the arrangements for songs could be done on garageband if you really wanted to, lol. But this does get me excited about the new radiohead album coming out later this year.

I agree about Mystics, I think it's amazing, I like it a more than Yoshimi is some ways and I don't care if that takes away some of my indie points. Yoshimi is amazing though, but I have to be in a certain mood for the whole thing, otherwise I pick and choose with it. I do love The Soft Bulletin though but I'm never in the mood for it, so my favorite would probably be Clouds Taste Metallic. I like their more guitary and poppy stuff.

Did you know that deadjournal was a real thing when you made that joke? I don't know if it's still around but it was just a gothique version of livejournal.

I'd have to agree that Free Radicals is a bad song.

Everytime a song from at war with the mystics comes on random i often like it a lot.However, theres something about the album that just doesn't click with me. I guess maybe it's missing a feel to it? Maybe its mixed weird, idk. Just something about it
