It has been a week!
In true Suzume fashion, I had "call-in" jury duty (I think there's only been one time I had this and didn't have to go in). So, of course, I got called while my dad's car is in the shop. I think it's been nearly 8 years since I did jury duty? (it might be because of all the times I changed addresses; if there were truant summons out there, I haven't had to worry about them ^~;)
Judge Larry Yellin(!) funnily not a grump! The last time I was before a judge in a juror pool, it was a semi-famous LA County judge who was cantankerous and preemptively scolded us for 'trying to cheat the system' (paraphrasing). Good to hear you got out of it in the end.
