Marriage is an addiction. It's like drugs. Before you were introduced to it, you don't need it, you don't crave it and you don't want it. However, when you've tried it, you can't stop! (Nope! Not a Pringles ad. Once you pop, you can't stop!) Once married, you lost your ability to think independently, not that I've lost my self, but that I now ( Read more... )

awww... hang in there babe!

i was in an LDR before and we survived it without a hitch. it was for 3 years! in the end, we broke up because of other issues - way after he had already returned to singapore for good.

have faith! and have fun! go re-connect with your mates... ultimately he would want to speak to a happy you than a sad, cranky you! it's hard, i know. but the more you miss each other, the better it gets when he's back. :)

*hugs*

Wow.. LDR sucks and still you managed it for 3 years?! *salute* but yeah... if he's not meant to be yours, he's not. ultimately, it'll end for other reasons...

and yeah.. i know. i'm trying to keep happy too and not let him worry about me. yup! and crankiness does bring about more disbutes and fights than love!

okay... i shall keep busy... busy having fun... thanx! =)

good! :)

anytime babe. and remember, with LDM and those rings on both of your fingers, there is so much more certainty and stronger bond between the two of you!

yeah...agree with the certainty and bond thing. it's like, with the ring, i know nothing's gonna change much even though he's away for a quarter of the year ( can u imagine? 1/4!!! =o )... so yeah... LDM is still a teeny weeny bit better than LDR... =p

come on, time doesnt drag it feet like lead. Actually, time flies and before you know it he is back! Spent this time doing things you always wanted to do but have no time for it or try to do something to surprise him like maybe learning a new dish or what? It keeps your mind off him!

Have faith, 3 mths will just zoom past you!

3months is quite a long time. my bf and i have been staying together for a few years already. so we are quite inseparable. the longest we've been separated was when he visited his relatives in brunei for about a month. felt so lost and just wanted to be at home, so that i can chat with him whenever he's online.

you've got to find something to entertain yourself during that period of time, dear. in the meantime, thankgod for IMs and cheaper IDD!

yup! you've got it! me too feel like staying home and waiting for his call the whole day! and just in case he can't get me... i've got my mobile with me all the time! even in the toilets & when i shower! i think i'm getting too tense! heh.... *takes deep breaths*

cheaper idd rates are cool... but i've still gotta wait till he knocks off to call him. and that'll be like midnight or 1 am! well.. at least there's emails! *sighs*

3 months is indeed very long. Stvn is going away for about 10 days and I've started to miss him. It's tough, especially when we've been so used to the other person's company. Do plan your time and get involved in some activities. Any chance you can visit him in between?
Yah, when he was away the last time for 3 weeks, we emailed a lot. Couldn't really talk on the phone for reasons you've stated.

yeah.. trying to pick myself up once i'm over the mopping... & our only consolation is that i'll maybe join him during the last few weeks & we'll get a pre-marital honeymoon! at least half the expenses are paid (his air tix and the lodging!)

in the meantime... i've got more than 2 months to pull thru... and it's only the beginning! =O
