My internet is acting up so I cannot read the PDF files. Keeps trying to save it as a hmtl code.

But assuming that these are the real deal, what do you thin that new Administration could do to change this? Also to prevent it from happing in the future?

I think that they need to appoint an independent investigator and establish a truth and reconciliation committee; the worst mistake they could make is to bury this for the purposes of political expedience (which is what they would really love to do - because doing anything to shed sunlight on this allows the GOP to level the charge that this is all just a political distraction/witch hunt); they already got flak from Gen. Hayden for releasing the documents even though they were just following the rule of law.

I think that the Obama administration's stance of not prosecuting the CIA personnel who used the methods is fine - because they were basically just doing what they were told. Hopefully that statement was carefully-worded as to leave open the possibility of punishing the higher-ups who drafted (and ordered the drafting) of these memos.
