I find it disturbing that there's so much of a focus on the parent, rather than the child. I think that they cynically think that the NT, even if they're the sort of person who would stoop so low as to kill their own child, is more sympathetic, and that autistics can't be related to in a meaningful way, even if they're killed. For autistics, the focus is always, always on the parent, even when it comes to these horrific murders of autistic people at the hands of their parents. The school system, even if it does suck, is not an excuse to take another human being's life. No matter how difficult bringing up an autistic child may be for you, there is absolutely no reason for you to take that child's life. That life belongs to that child themselves, not to you, and...I just...ugh.
