On a serious note, though, it was time to privatize my journal and continue posting to the kind of diary I had originally envisioned it to be: one free from gossip loops and out of the limelight. I

I understand about you not wanting anyone to read your journal entries. I actually wanting to write about my secrets, and inner most thoughts of my everyday life. But like you, I had, have, still have, people who enjoy reading my journal. Which sucks cause I really want to start writing a personal one for myself. Yeah right. Hiya, just a note

Hi there. I just thought I'd write, we're members of some of the same communities. I noticed that you posted about how you were going to post when GOOD bands come through Jacksonville and such and I was a little offended. You said that all local music seems to be hardcore limp-bizkity stuff, which closely followed my post about a Commander Chameleon show. It's really hard to get people out to shows, and it's because of that kind of negativity. Commander Chameleon is a bunch of really talented guys and I bet you'd like them if you heard them. Very diverse. Kind of Beatles/Ween/Pavement/Pink Floyd/Primus. But all I'm saying is don't knock it before you've tried it and don't lump everyone into a local music "crap" group :) (This isn't meant to be a mean post, I'm just sticking up for myself)

I didn't mean to offend anyone, and I certainly don't mean to suggest that all local music is like that. I only meant to comment that most of the bands SEEM to be that way, the ones I have heard. True, I haven't heard a lot, but I have yet to have a good experience with a local band. My tastes lean toward the mellow side...there doesn't seem to bemuch of that in this town. I might stop by Fuel later to hear some acoustic guitar...that could renew my faith in the local music scene.

i hear ya; anything very personal or of great importance i put on friends only.
i originally started my journal and no one i knew in person knew about it; only online friends. lots of my in-person friends know about it now; thankfully only one person has tried to start drama on it. but i laid the smack down and said get on outta hea, and the drama ceased. :)
may i add you to my list?
