You soooo have to get a photo of him in a punt. With a tin of pineapple, of course :D
Here's the gorgeous Mr Atticus, whom I was minding for most of last week. The pile of black somethingorother at his feet is his three-month-old daughter, Tarja :-)
Remind this American, what is a punt? And why pineapple? I have considered trying to get him to wear sunglasses (his head's the right shape to handle them, I think).
He's a Finnish Lapphund, one of the larger Spitz breeds. They're lovely, loving dogs, often thoughtful and quiet, and he's one of the very best. And isn't that an amazing coat? And amazing eyebrows :D
Wonderful dog. Our dog Tikka is a mix that most closely resembles a Finnish Spitz. All the arctic-type breeds come out really pretty. I don't know why, but I think eyebrows are adorable on a dog.
I should have known that was a punt. I've heard that word before. For some reason I thought you might have been using a term for a rugby or football jersey or something. I'll have to look into that book. If I ever get the opportunity to have him and a punt in the same place, I'll do my best to get a pic.

This is a punt. And this is the book that was the source of the tin-of-pineapple reference - the comedic mishaps encountered in the course of trying to open it are one of the more famous scenes therein. You may remember certain familiar bits from To Say Nothing of the Dog :-)
