There is something I'd like to air out- as long as she's been in camp, Mayu has been living with Hatori. And I wanted to confirm if staying with him would be Akito's first choice? Because if he moves in, I don't think staying will be in Mayu's best interests. I think this is my big concern, so any insights would be welcome.

Akito would prefer to stay with Hatori as he is something of a security blanket for him. . . And may then raise a ruckus if for some reason he can't. You do have it right that Akito and Mayu co-habiting would not end well. So, hopefully, Akito can be persuaded to live by himself or somewhere else. Really, this is something that I would wait out and see what happens in play as Shigure may be very convincing at getting Akito to move in with him.
Well, Mayu met Rin here, and knows the rest of those present from outside. I believe the only outsider familiar with more of the set is Tohru. So she has an interest in them! That said, she's not an... "agent of change" sort of meddling. (More of a protective sort, but it might not make a difference.) If she thinks Akito's doing right by the family, she'll leave well enough alone! And if she finds out otherwise, she'll be unhappy but she won't charge in blindly

Shigure will do his damn best to convince Akito to stay with him. "HEY AKITO THERE'S THIS EMPTY CABIN." He also has a magical Noah closet that's large enough to fit a bed, so Akito could live in the cabin and Shigure in the closet l-lol. BUT YEAH, HE'LL TRY TO CONVINCE AKITO FIRST. Should that fail, he'll get Mayu.
ALSO. SHIGURE WILL GO OUT OF HIS WAY TO PREVENT AKITO FROM HURTING MAYU. BECAUSE OLOL KANA FLASHBACKS.
WRT SPOILERS: Envy would likely notice--he sizes up people's bodies very carefully because of the nature of his power--and he would fuck with her about it if he thought it were funny or had something to gain by it. SO. We don't have to do this! I mean if they even meet WHICH WOULD BE KIND OF AWFUL HA HA HA, if you don't want to play with it, obviously I'll refrain. But yes, he would poke at the issue, because he likes to hurt people.

On the other hand: If you want another trap of mine, Kino tends to get pissy about being called a girl as well. . . Like shoot people in their helmet, pissy. It's great. So, in case Akito doesn't work out, I welcome bothering her instead.

Raph... may or may not respond politely to Akito depending on who he talks to first. A single conversation with Shigure or Hatori may decide everything. But I don't think he'll make a big deal out of it unless he feels the need to. He feels he does have a certain investment in the Sohmas, but it only extends so far. Also any attempt to hurt him he will just laugh off.
Regarding spoilers: [Raph will probably know Akito is female because he's the type to observe these things on first meetings, but he probably won't make a big deal out of it; he may mention it offhandedly unless, like before, Shigure or Hatori tell him NO NO NO NO BAD DOCTOR BAD.]
