oh wait a question HOW DOES AKITO VIEW HIS/HER OWN IDENTITY and do you view it any differently? If so, how?

. . . Oh, this was an essay I was supposed to write.

OKAY, STARTING WITH HEADCANON: I think Akito was always told since she was a wee thing that she is a boy! You know how your parents sort of sit down and explain the differences between the sexes, and Akito was simply told that she was like boys and not like girls! So, she was really very happily a boy for awhile. It was not something she really questioned, and I think that everyone else went along with it pretty easily. . . Because at that age, there isn't much of a difference! I think the problem with Akito's gender identity began when she started hitting puberty, because that's when you really can't deny that. . . You aren't what you thought you were.

So, Akito's gender identity was pretty damn stable and then the sandcastle got completely stomped on by her biological clock! I can imagine the entire period just fucked her mentality over, and she didn't know what to do with herself. I mean, she can't admit that she has no bloody clue about why she, a boy, is having these weird

After a few rough years, I think Akito slowly. . . Learned how to deal with being a girl. In that, she hates it. She hates women. She hates them moreso, because she is one and Ren is one and so on. But she also sort of understands that is gives her a sort of. . . Power, leeway, too. Akito is advantageous! So, she likes guys, because they are what she absolutely wants to be-What she was. But she's a girl. . . But guys like girls! So, she's always very physical with the boys. Akito uses her sex, even if she's one of the few who knows and honestly sees herself as a woman, as leverage against the males in the Sohma clan. I'm curious about Akito's thoughts about his balance of power over the family within the confines of camp, and if he feels like there's any difference between there and back home.

ABSOLUTELY. He has acutely felt the fact that time has passed since they last saw him, and he sort of has to see them more often due to camp. . . So, he keeps having to see the changes that have taken place. Whereas, he sort of hides in the shadows a lot, and he isn't too deeply involved. . . Because nothing changes, because he's always around in the back of their mind! He was honestly gone in camp, though.

He honestly hates it to death-The changes, the time, and just camp. He hates the people that have attached themselves to the Sohmas, and he will be dealing with them. Honestly, like I said before, Akito is systematically going down the Sohmas and tightening the reins on them. Some are alright, like Momiji and Rin, who know what to do and how to deal. But the biggest offenders are those that he considers closest. . . Honestly, he's having a lot of trouble with them. While Hatori has been brought back to the fold, there's still a lot left to be done. Then again, Akito won't admit this, but he's honestly giving up in some cases

On a purely selfish level, Rin is absolutely thrilled to see Haru again. She missed him every bit as much as one might miss an arm or a leg that had gone missing, and then suddenly came back. Having him around again, even if she can't see or touch him, is soothing to her.

...That being said, she honestly feels it's better for him if she avoids him. He doesn't remember being in camp before, which means he doesn't remember finding out why she broke up with him in the first place--and she thinks it would hurt him more if he did know. Specifically, there's the Akito factor--she knows that Haru would stand by her and love her and support her, but Akito made it Perfectly Clear that he Does Not Approve. Rin isn't sure that Akito wouldn't lash out at Haru to get revenge against her if she dared to say anything. Rin would never forgive herself if she were responsible for hurting Haru

Uh, headspace drabble! Okay, that answers nothing, but that's sort of related to Shigure. Just squint, alright. That said, Shigure was in her good graces, but she sort of knew that it was tenuous. . . That he was staying close just because of Dietrich and he wouldn't let her be alone. Still, she was really happy with him. She got him to basically agree to do what Kureno did for her, and she didn't trust him as inherently as she does Kureno. . . There was a damn good chance, okay. :( And Akito needs Kureno. She is having a bit of trouble without him, and there's no one else around, so she's getting a bit sicker and a bit more alone without him. She honestly was trying to groom Shigure or Hatori to be that, but she wanted Shigure more. Ffffff, she really was happy, damn it. But when it finally came to a challenge-When he had to realize he was still very much Jyuunishi and she was God-Shigure failed. He

Okay, I have that out of my system! Kino was really in a weird place when she met Thor, so it makes it hard to sort of write on it. That said, she really did like him, and it was sort of new being able to talk and chat with someone her age. She was just a regular kid and liked it a lot! It also made her feel weird, because she wasn't normal like he was. Kino was worrying about a lot heavier things at that time, but it isn't something she really talks with anyone about. So, she caught the drift that Thor was something she couldn't be. . . It wasn't so much her act that she puts on when she's older, though. It was all rather honest for Kino, actually.

When she grew up, I imagine that Kino sort of. . . Didn't go looking for him at all. She likes remembering him just as he was when they were both young and while she could talk to him more. . . It's not something she really wants-To disrupt a happy memory. But

Frankly, I'm amused by the idea that anyone, even Kino, would consider Thor normal in any regard. Since he aged back up, though, I don't think it's occurred to Thor to try finding anyone he'd met anyway, but I'm also entirely in favor of having them run into each other again

Well, Kino is a sort of strange child from a strange land. To her, it was completely normal to lose your free will and just go on with life. It took someone else telling her there are other options for her to wonder about anything else. . . And she's very open to other people and the way they live, just because her world view got flipped upside down when she was young. Frankly, she's seen a lot crazier shit than a young Godling when she's older.

Ashe hasn't written him off completely! Rather, she's a sort of slow person who tends to be friends before lovers with people in my mind. . . Because every male person you could ship her with doesn't approach her on a "sexual" level, first. They are just friends, people who will set her straight, and so on. Which is why I think Ashe sort of wants Thor to buck-up and just. . . Cross lines! Because she'd allow it. YES.
