Ashe's problem is the problem I have with David, a lot -- he's the type to be out (or have people out for him) assessing situations and listening to people's problems and git-er-done-ing and... that's ultimately really futile, in camp.
So unless there's a Thing going on, often David is just like "...\o\ /o/..."
Mm, I don't doubt that there are a lot of characters that have the same problem! I suppose I just feel bad that I don't want to be pro-active and heavily involved in events, either. Biz's thing was going on, and everyone was storming the house and getting into boss fights! . . . And I thought of tagging in for all of a second before I yawned at the idea.
I suppose it's easier when I have a game that keeps throwing monsters in my face rather than having to hunt down my own fights. :|a
I read you re: Ashe--it's a problem I've had with Thor over the years, too, because my interest level and OOC time allotments are considerably less than his when it comes to stuff going on in Camp. A lot of times I've found it easier to handwave things and say, "Eh, big stuff going down...? Thor was either involved in some regard, or off handling some other crisis at the time. Moving on..."
That said, I get a kick out of the big events when I do have the time for them, so there are plenty of times I make the effort to stay involved--and since that's just a choice on my part, I dunno how much help that'll be for you. Although, handwaving involvement in things and focusing on whatever does interest you is always a plan, provided you can find whatever those interesting-to-you things are.
So... yeah. No really helpful suggestions here, but I'm always happy to lend a hand if you get a better idea and could use any assistance.

If I had any advice I would try and be helpful, but clearly I am just as \o/, so. :|a

Well, we could try not to be as hard on ourselves and pass the word along. . . ?
