I saw it! It was kind of anti-climactic - it slowly turned red, then the red faded, but it was pretty neat because it's the first lunar eclipse I've seen. I tried to take photos but my zoom is nowhere near long enough to make it worth the effort... and I didn't have a tripod, which I'd also need. Ah well. The harvest moon is, in my opinion, more worth the effort because it's orange and huuuge!
A while ago I thought I saw the moon actually going into a new moon. I was like, "Dude! That was SO COOL! That totally made waiting for the stupid people to get out of the damn park worth it!" ...And the clouds shifted. Heh. But it was awesome for that 45 seconds. ;^)
PS "Like, dude, totally, awesome." Me? From So Cal? Noooo...
I saw it! I stayed up way too late to see it though >.< I should have just gone to bed then woken up to glimpse it. But I thought it was pretty neat, I didn't stay up late enough to see it completely covered though. It looked like a large shadow over the moon.
