one of the major perks of college that i will miss is the incredible access to online journal archives and different research resources that are available. (ugh that sounds so nerdy, but honestly having access to Genetics  and that hard to find copy of Science from 1976 is wonderful. i will never make it as a neural surgeon. small surgical procedure are obviously not my thing considering how long it took me to dissect fly ovaries.

how is it i only have five more weeks of instruction? this is insane

you know when you are an absolute genetic nerd when you have the URL to the Saccharomyces cerevisiae genome database memorized and bookmarked. Granted yeastgenome.org isn't that hard to remember. But I have to say THIS IS so cool.

This is one of those days when I wish I had majored in Business. The job prospectives are so much more attractive.  But then my genetics book reminded me that I do indeed heart genetics and that I went into the realm of biology with no regret.

but in retrospect i should have apply to the MS programs in UK last year.

ahhh the wonders of applying for jobs.
i can't believe the number of biotech companies in San Diego. Tanya, you really need to convince me to leave the this cold for SD.
