I think this response to Tom's comment (on live-action nethack) gets a post of it's own:
I'm just imagining Mark dressed in a Valkyrie costume, holding a stuffed lizard to his mouth and saying "Becca, can I eat the newt?"

That does present quite an image, though what I originally meant is that game that's a lot like Call of Cthulu where you slowly go insane and the blood drips from the walls and you turn into a zombie...
