So they claim they lost my application for a ballot.

No voting for me. They say there's nothing they can do.

Words do not express how much this upsets me.

That is such unbelievable crap. There really isn't anything they can do? Anyone you can complain to? I'm so sorry...

I believe federal law now gives you the right to cast a provisional ballot. I think what you want to do is go to the polling place and insist on your right to cast a provisional ballot. I'm sure if you call the party headquarters of your party of preference, they will tell you how.

Unfortunately, not here. There was a long, and very, very, very partisan fight over who could cast provisional ballots, and they are only allowed to be cast by registered Ohio voters. Which I'm not -- day of registration doesn't happen here.

Provisional ballots are only allowed for people who are registered voters but don't have proper ID. It's been quite a fight, here in Ohio.
