I believe federal law now gives you the right to cast a provisional ballot. I think what you want to do is go to the polling place and insist on your right to cast a provisional ballot. I'm sure if you call the party headquarters of your party of preference, they will tell you how.

Unfortunately, not here. There was a long, and very, very, very partisan fight over who could cast provisional ballots, and they are only allowed to be cast by registered Ohio voters. Which I'm not -- day of registration doesn't happen here.
Provisional ballots are only allowed for people who are registered voters but don't have proper ID. It's been quite a fight, here in Ohio.
