One thing I'd like to say is, after rewatching EP 1 + 2 they weren't as bad as I remembered them. They were actually pretty good, ecspecially EP 2 :D

I agree in the sense that I view episodes I and II as not complete failures, seeing how they had a few moments in them that fucking rocked (a hundred jedi battling in an arena for the first time, anyone?).

I'm not sure what that proves.. I still enjoy 4-6 better because of their campy nature that lets you accept the shortcomings. When 1-3 look as good as they do and sound as good as they do, the shortcomings are like a giant sore thumb.

You obviously didn't get the point...

The reason I post this is to show the fact that even though we may consider the original trilogy to be such classics now, when they were first released they were considered much more critcial failures than the current prequel trilogy. So, the critics now who put the OT on such a high pedistal need a nice cup of shut the fuck up.

I'm not dissing the OT because I enjoy them too, it's just annoying to me how people are considering I and II to be travesties against humanity, and if you watch them a week later some little girl will pop out of your TV to kill you. My post proves the point that people should lay off the prequel trilogy for shortcomings that are present in other movies (such as Sin City and the original trilogy)that they feel the need to focus solely on in a completely hypocritical fasion.
