Then, we (in Canberra, I mean) have pretendy winter, which is where in my mind it should be warm, but it isn’t, and you just pretend that it feels warmer because it’s September.

I just freaked myself out by Googling ‘why don’t doctors remove tonsils anymore?’. My problem is not what the answer to that question was (which is, ‘It became unfashionable, but it never stopped happening’). The power was just cut off here for forty-five minutes and it SERIOUSLY threw out my plans for the day and just about drove me NUTS!

NOW I can finally cook my breakfast! Jeez!

Y'know, I don't think I really get Seasonal Affective Disorder, but I certainly sympathise with anyone who has it. I just don't want to go outside in winter if I don't have to, and when I have to, I don't like it. Even if the sun is out, it's FREEZING outside. All the time.
