I notice that, too, the other day when I was reading something Dana posted on Stef's journal. At furst I thought it was John Cusack, but then I remembered that Dana looks exactly like Johnny boy, and I spent a good deal of time pondering how I could turn this coincidence into something profitable, like in the movie Dave. But I got nothing, sorry.
Picnic With Me If You Willseven5March 7 2005, 22:15:27 UTC
Dear Dana,
My computer is fucked up, and even though I wrote you this really long, sweet reply, it wouldn't let me post it and deleted it all. Luckily, I felt compelled to try and convey my sentiment again.
So here goes nothing, though this nothing may not come out quite as eloquently as the first nothing:
It's a coincidence of the greatest degree that you mention hanging out today, because all day I've been thinking that we should hang out! Lily mentioned that this weekend you and she and Bensy Jones-White went and plated frisbee, and I've had a hankering for some good ole' Dana down-time. By down time I mean we should gather some compadres, a blanket, a ton of food, like bread and cheese and such, and head off to Wolfe Park for a picnic. Doesn't that sound grand? It sounds like heaven to me. Of course, this plan will have to depend on the weather.
Anyway, I heart you, and we do need to hang out. And no more saying we should hang out and not actually getting together.
Uno) Wha?! Home on Friday you say? But this weekend is Jew Prom. I will manage to squeeze in some Emyli time. I WILL. Mostly because Saturday morning I'm going to the Filene's Basement Prom Sale Extravaganza, and you will, of course, be forced to stop by my house later that day and admire my dress with me. Shoes included. Why are you coming home, by the way?
2) Maggie is sweet. But I am giving up. At least for now. Especially because I want to get in shape before the summer, i.e. go running a whole bunch and become an athlete, and I need to keep my energy focused.
c) Why yes, he was! I was actually listening to their tape from District Contest, they got a 1, you know, so they get to go to States with us! Wahooo
umm) I like your icon, Because manly make-out sessions royally rock.
dearest la, i talked to my dad about camping and he said we need to wait until the "clubhouse" opens or whatever, sometime in mid-april. he said that we could cook over a fire if we really wanted to, but that there really is no reason to when we have a full kitchen in the "clubhouse" thats open for us to use...this will for sure be a jap's camping trip...complete with showers, a fridge, oven, stove, and microwave...and its going to be awesome. the onlypart of this that will be camping will be the tents, sleeping bags, and bugs. oh! and we have 2 tents, a ten person one and a 4 or 6 person i believe.
This is Lauren Kraus, just here to thank you for granting me the friendship of Melissa Anne Glazer, with her amazing camping connections and equally superb sense of JAPness. This will truly be the best camping trip of the century.
