So, in news not related to the other stuff I have been ranting about lately (because I'm playing the not-talking-about-it game) the movie version of Ethan Frome is HUGELY CREEPY. Why did I not remember this? I mean, the whole Ethan and Mattie having sex while Zeena listens thing... very disturbing.

And now I'm writing a paper on it.

Thanks! I liked the book well enough, the film version just makes me cringe. :) And you should totally give Henry James a shot if you've never read anything by him, his writing really reminds me of Wharton's.
